Biography

Ella Jane Leach, age 99, of Genoa, passed away on March 2, 2010 at her home in Genoa, CO.

She was born on June 26, 1910 to John and Maude (Pangburn) Britton at Thurman, CO. On September 30, 1932, Ella married R.B. Leach in Kansas. To this union nine children were born. Ella and R.B. made their home in Genoa, Colorado.

Ella enjoyed her life as a homemaker, and spent countless hours doing needlework, sewing, embroidery and making quilts for her family members. Ella was a great cook, and was especially good at making chicken and noodles, banana cream pie and cinnamon rolls. She also enjoyed playing cards with the Genoa Senior Citizens Club.

Ella is survived by her daughters - Faye Anderst of Lakewood, CO, Shirley (Tobe) Rimenschneider of Hall Station, CO, Joyce (Allen) Saari of Painsdale, MI, Merna (Jerry) Farrell of Magnolia, TX, Sharon (Dean) Howe of Genoa, CO, and Donna (Tom) Cox of Deer Trail, CO; sons - John (Susan) Leach of Lindon, CO, Bruce (Joyce) Leach of Lindon, CO, and Clifford (Barbara) Leach of Genoa, CO; nephew Jimmy (Kathy) Leach of Genoa, CO;

She was preceded in death by husband, R.B. Leach; parents, John and Maude Britton; sisters Edith Reimenschneider and Ethel Smith; two nieces; one nephew; one grandson; one son in law; one grand daughter; and one great grandson.
