Alice Jones

Alice Delia (Nash) Jones passed away March 14, 2018, at her home in Strasburg, CO, surrounded by her loving family after a long battle with cancer.  She was born September 26, 1938, in Springfield, MA, to Arthur C. and Edea (Ragazzi) Nash.  The Nash family moved to Calgary, Canada in 1945 for Alice’s health due to asthma, and then to Pueblo, CO in 1946.  Alice attended St. Mary’s Grade School and Pueblo County High School where she graduated with the class of 1956.  Alice married Clinton Lee Jones on August 31, 1957, and they lived on the Jones Farm south of Seibert, CO while raising their 3 children. 

Alice worked for the First National Bank of Flagler for 25 years where she became V.P. of Operations and a member of the Board of Directors.  Being a big sports fan, Alice loved following her 6 grandchildren with their school and sporting events, especially football.  She was also a very talented seamstress and enjoyed quilting and gardening during her spare time. 

Lee and Alice sold the family farm in 2014 and moved to Strasburg, CO where Alice lost her battle to cancer. 

She is preceded in death by her parents.  Alice is survived by her husband of 60 years, Lee Jones; children Sherry (Tim) Levin, Clint (friend Annette Schaal) Jones, Laura (friend Tom Kazmer) Erbert; brother Frank A. (Sherry) Nash; as well as 6 grandchildren, Derek (Elyse) Dykstra, Grant Dykstra, Steven (Jenn) Erbert, Jason Erbert, Zach Jones, Kelsey Jones; and 5 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m., on March 20, 2018, at the Seibert Community Center.  Interment following the service. 

All donations in lieu of flowers, can be dropped off at the bank or mailed to High Plains Bank, P.O. Box 158, Flagler, CO 80815.  All proceeds will be donated to The Healing NET Foundation, a foundation for treating neuroendocrine tumors. www.thehealingnet.org
