Berta D. Taylor

Berta Deloise Taylor was born on January 05, 1939 to Waldo and Ardis Nash in Simla, CO. To this union four children were born; Cathy, Glen, Bill, and Ardis.

While her children were growing, Berta worked at the Agate school as a cook, bus driver, and janitor. After the children were raised and on their own, Berta and her husband Glen, were CDL over the road truck drivers for 20 years. After the passing of her husband Glen, Berta worked another 18 years at the Lincoln County Sherriff’s Department as a dispatcher, and in the probation department.

Berta was a Southern Baptist, and attended the First Baptist Church of Agate. During her time attending church, Reverend Brown was the pastor.

Berta absolutely loved to camp and fish. She took every opportunity to trek to the mountains, reservoirs, wherever fish and water were, and spend leisurely time always trying to “snag the big one”.

Berta was proceeded in death by her parents, Ardis and Waldo Nash, husband Glen Taylor, and son Glen Taylor.

Berta is survived by daughter Cathy Taylor, son Bill Taylor, daughter Ardis (Pete) Pennetta, several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many cherished camping and fishing friends.
