Brenda Joyce “BJ” Lloyd was born on September 6, 1942 in Charleston, West Virginia. She was the last of 8 children born to Joseph “Joe” McCormick and Emma Pearl (Reed) McCormick. BJ left this world to be with her Savior on June 12, 2024 in Casper, Wyoming.
BJ is survived by her husband, Archie Lloyd; children, Johnny Blizzard (Susan), Kimberly Clear and Matthew Isaac Blizzard; Grandchildren, Jasmine Gallegos, Ray Blizzard (Mariah), Abigail Gambel (Kyle), Jack Blizzard, Josiah Blizzard, Robert Clear, Christopher Clear & Emma Clear; 9 great-grandchildren, and siblings, Sonny McCormick, Buddy McCormick, and Frances McCormick; She was proceeded in death by her parents, first husband Edsel S. Blizzard, son Aaron Blizzard, and siblings JoAnn Gibson, Patsy Haas, Luther McCormick and Delores “Squeege” Thaxton.
BJ had an incredibly strong personality that people were drawn to. She had beautiful red hair and green eyes and tried to speak the truth in all things. She enjoyed visiting her extended family, fishing, traveling, bold colors, big jewelry, singing songs, kiss-ambushing her grandchildren, making homemade pizza and hanging with her husband of 41 years. She loved her family and had a very close relationship with several of her nieces and also special old friends who she considered family. She was loved by many and will be missed by even more.
BJ’s career as a legal secretary was mainly in the Denver area. She later ran a military surplus business with her husband for many years. She was an amazing woman who’s love of God was shared with all. She enjoyed watching Gracepoint Church sermons every Sunday and was an avid member of the Les Feldick Ministries. She was a firm believer in “Once Saved - Always Saved” and believed firmly in 2 Corinthians 5:8 that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
