Callen Chevarria passed away on Friday, August 14, 2026, at just 15 years old. In his far too short life, Callen left an unforgettable mark on the people lucky enough to know and love him.
Callen was bright, funny, curious, and wonderfully ornery. He had a quick wit, a sharp mind, and an energy that was uniquely his. He could make people laugh, keep them on their toes, and surprise you with just how much he knew about the things that captured his interest.
And Callen was interested in a lot of things.
Horses and mounted shooting were a big part of Callen’s life, growing up alongside Bobby and Tasha and creating countless memories together as a family. In recent years, Callen had also become an accomplished scholastic shotgun competitor. But his interests reached far beyond the arena and range. He was endlessly curious and creative, spending hours experimenting with his 3D printers and exploring stop-motion animation. He had a lifelong fascination with dinosaurs and a growing passion for aviation, dreaming of one day turning that interest into a career.
Whatever caught Callen’s attention, he wanted to understand it, try it, build it, master it, or find his own way of doing it. That curiosity, creativity, and determination were simply part of who he was.
More than any accomplishment or interest, Callen was Bobby and Tasha’s beloved son and cherished only child. The three of them shared an incredibly close bond and did so much of life together. From horses and mounted shooting to the countless projects, competitions, and adventures Callen found along the way, Bobby and Tasha were always by his side, encouraging him and supporting whatever sparked his curiosity next. Their love for Callen was at the heart of everything they did, and the memories they created together will be treasured forever.
Callen had a very special relationship with his grandparents, Paula and Casey, who were such an important part of his life. They shared countless adventures, laughs, and memories together, and their love and support were a constant throughout Callen’s life.
Callen will be remembered for his humor, his intelligence, his kindness, his ornery streak, and all of the little things that made him unmistakably Callen. Fifteen years was nowhere near enough, but the love he gave, the laughter he created, and the memories he leaves behind will remain with his family and friends forever.
