Charles Speringer Brewer 97 of Cedaredge, CO, peacefully passed into Lord’s arms on October 4, 2021, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction, CO. Charles was born March 20, 1924, at Beth-El Hospital, Colorado Springs, CO to Charles Sylvester Brewer and Pearl Theodora (Akers) Brewer. Charles was the eldest of 4 children born to Charles and Pearl. Charles graduated from Hanover High School in 1942.
Charles married Bobbie DeVare in February of 1944. Four children were born to this union. During their 51 years of marriage, Charles and Bobbie lived in Drennan, CO, El Dorado, MO, Cahone, CO, and Punkin Center, CO. Bobbie passed away in 1995. Charles worked as a dairy farmer and rancher for 80 years. He was quite a storyteller and author of the book, "Bigfoot Angel A Mysterious World".
In 2000 Charles married long-time family friend Ethel Goin, gaining 3 sons and a daughter. They lived at the ranch in Punkin Center, CO until 2016. For health reasons they moved to Cedaredge, CO, near Ethel’s daughter.
Charles loved gardening, playing with the Karval Keenagers band, visiting with all, ranching, and watching his cattle herd.
Preceded in death by his parents, stepfather George Wyman Smith, brothers John Floyd Brewer, Alfred Thomas Brewer, half-brothers Clay, George, Buster, and a half-sister Thelma. Daughters Virgia Marie Antle and Melody Linn Brewer. Wives Bobbie (Devare) Brewer and Ethel (Goin) Brewer.
Many surviving loved ones will miss Charles; his children; Kay Brewer Kinsley, KS and Wyman Brewer Cahone, CO. Stepchildren: Charles (Marsha) Goin Pueblo, CO; Allen (Natalie) Goin Ellicott, CO, Mary Jo (Shane) Lance Cedaredge, CO, Danny (Kerri) Goin Silt, CO,
Siblings Wesley Conway (Julie) Brewer of Saguache, CO and a host of nieces and nephews.
