Charles passed away peacefully in his sleep in his Colorado Springs home. 

Charles was born in Hacoda, Alabama to Preston Pridgen, Sr. & Nettie Ethel Pridgen.

Charles entered the US Navy at the age of 17 in 1944. He entered the US Army in 1947 and in 1948 he transferred to the newly formed US Airforce where he worked on planes which was one of his passions. Charles served in the Pacific during WWII and in Vietnam. After 23 years in the military he retired after reaching the rank of Chief Master Sergeant. He settled in Calhan, CO and became a cattle rancher. He was active in his community and served as Farm Bureau President of El Paso County.

Charles was preceded in death by his wife Alice Margorie Jernigan (2015), son Jerry Lee Pridgen (1985), and son Joseph Allen Pridgen (2008), and grandson James Stewart Ryans, Jr. (2021)

Charles is survived by his son Charles Roscoe Pridgen II of Port Angeles, WA & his daughter Sharon Annette Stott of Green River, WY, and 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren

Funeral services will take place Dec. 20 at 10:00 AM at  The Church of Jesus Christ, 900 Monument St., Calhan, CO
