Constance J. Claussen

Constance “Connie” Joann Claussen of Vona, CO died peacefully at home after battling a long illness. Connie was born in Grand Prairie, TX on April 15th, 1945, to Vera and Chalon Renfro. She was a dedicated employee of United Airlines for 25 years, where she was a flight attendant, based primarily out of Denver. In 1993, Connie married Darwin "Dar" Claussen until his untimely passing in 1994. 

After retiring from the aviation industry, she bravely decided to follow her lifelong passion for caring for animals, and went back to school to become a veterinary technician. Her love of animals meant that her home was never without cats and dogs by her side. She also enjoyed riding horses with her daughter Liz, as well as travelling to places she loved, like Hawaii and Disney World. She is survived by her daughter Elizabeth Claussen.
