Daniel Olson Miller was born on June 6, 1936 to John B. and Ruth E. (Olson) Miller in Detroit, MI. He left this earth to go to be with Jesus, his Lord and Savior, early Sunday morning, January 24, 2021. Dan and Rita were married on June 26, 1956. They moved from Michigan to Colorado in 1972 and made their home in Byers.
Daniel was an avid hunter and loved fishing and hunting and just being outdoors. A highlight was alligator hunting with his nephews a few years ago. He could figure out how things worked and put them back together again. He worked until retirement as a ramp serviceman. He learned carpentry and built houses in his spare time.
Preceding Dan in death were a daughter, Jane Forte, a brother, David, and two infant grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Rita, sister Lynda, Brother Jon, son Richard (Melody) Miller, daughter Nancy (Gary) Meier,son Robert (Lourdes) Miller, daughter Loretta Miller, son Ronald (Michelle) Miller, granddaughter Nicole(Jon) Dick, grandson Jason (Amanda) Meier, granddaughter Shelby (Kyle) Murray, granddaughter Lovina (John) Reeves, granddaughter Samantha Russell, grandson David Russell, grandson Johnathan Miller, granddaughter Megan Miller, grandson Zachary Miller, grandson Garrett Miller, granddaughter Madison Miller, granddaughter Rebekah Miller, and seven great-grandchildren.
