On Tuesday, January 31st, 2023, David Roskos best known as Super Dave, a beloved husband and father, passed away. He died peacefully at home after a long illness that brought him back to his home town of Calhan, Colorado where he was able to live a quiet and enjoyable life on the ranch surrounded by friends and family.
David married his love, Lisa (Wilcox) Roskos, on April 17th, 1982 in Colorado. Seven short years later in 1989 they decided to move to Texas to seize the opportunity for Dave to have a successful career in home building and care for his three children and wife. They were able to enjoy a very fruitful life and then in 2015 decided to return home to Colorado.
Super Dave was best known for his positive demeanor, contagious laugh and playing his guitar. Dave loved to play and sing and enjoyed listening to his radio and playlists daily. In addition to music and family, Dave was always watching sports and was an avid Broncos fan. He would watch hockey, football, baseball and golf. Stories have been told of his skill on the golf course. A long treasured memory will be fishing with his children and grandchildren with all of us catching rocks and debris and not fish but enjoying all of the laughs and memories made in Estes Park. In Texas, he was able to continue to enjoy his hobby of hunting and being outdoors and continued when ultimately returning to Colorado.
Dave was preceded in death by his father, Joe Roskos, his brother, Bob Wayne Roskos.
