On Saturday, July 18, 2020, Delbert Noakes, a loving husband and father of two, passed away at the age of 77.
Delbert was born on January 21, 1943 in Matheson, CO to Harvey and Iola Noakes. After graduating from high school in Hugo, CO, he served courageously in the Armed Forces and later owned and operated a successful vending machine company. Delbert married Christine and had two sons, Rod and Allen. He married Dianne in 2001 and the two of them lived happily and peacefully in Limon, CO for many years.
Delbert was a Ham Radio Operator enthusiast who spent his spare time passionately setting up and maintaining repeater sites in Eastern Colorado. He loved and worshipped the Lord and was very involved within the church community. He even helped with the electronic system at his church in any way he could. He was a kind soul with an outgoing personality and was a friend to everyone he met.
Delbert was preceded in death by his father Harvey, his mother Iola, his brother Duane, his former wife Christine, and his granddaughter Cassie. He is survived by his wife and soulmate Dianne, his son Rod, married to Robin. Son Allen married to Wendi. His brother Jim, married to Barbara. 6 grand children Matthew, McKenna, Alexandria, Katarina, Coby and Mariah.
A funeral service will be held on Friday July 24, 2020 at Hi-Plains Baptist Church located at 1001 H. Ave., Limon, CO 80828 at 2:30pm. Delbert will be buried at Crown Hill Cemetery located at 7777 W. 29th Ave., Wheatridge, CO 80033.
