Donna Jean Funk

Donna Jean Funk, daughter of Milton and Alice Funk, born November 04, 1947 in Fort Morgan, CO, passed away on May 09, 2026 at the age of 78 in Hugo, CO.

She was raised South of Fort Morgan on the family ranch. Donna attended Adena school through the 8th grade, and then Fort Morgan high school, graduating in 1965.

Donna was an avid sewer; she loved to sew formal dresses for her daughters. She was active with Eastern Star, and Rainbows for girls. She was also an avid gardener; Donna loved growing flowers and sharing them with her many friends and family.

Donna worked as a secretary most of her adult life. She worked at 1st National Bank, and the Sherriff’s office in Fort Morgan. From there, she worked at El Paso County Sherriff’s office, and the Juvenile probation office in Colorado Springs. When she moved back to Fort Morgan, she was a secretary for Anderson Lee Accounting, then the Sherman daycare. However, her greatest joy was shen she became a bus driver for RE-3 school district.

Donna is survived by her daughters; Koral Bohl of Limon, Kathy Marick (Scott) of Gering, NE. Two grandchildren Katelynn Edmonds (David) of Bixby OK, and Matthew Marick of Gering, NE. Four great grandchildren; Blake, Levi, Tyler and Kenzie Edmonds of Bixby OK, and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Donna was proceeded in death by her parents, Milton and Alice Funk, and her aunt and uncle Lutie and Nate White of Fort Morgan, CO., and uncle Eugene Dixon of IL.

A private burial will be held for the family, and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
