Ethan William Pearson

March 14, 2001 — March 15, 2022

AURORA, CO – Ethan William Pearson, 21, of Aurora, CO and formerly of Loveland, CO died Tuesday, March 15, 2022. He was born March 14, 2001 in Loveland, CO to William “Bill” Pearson and Heather Persing Pearson (Watson) who are truly broken parents and who reside in Aurora, CO. Surviving siblings are his step sisters, (His best friend and confidant) Alexandria “Ali” Persing of Temucula, CA, and Sarah “Sissy Sarah” Christian (Pearson) of Huntsville, UT. Surviving relatives are his maternal grandfather, Donald “Grampa Duck” Watson. Aunt Wendy Pearson of London, England. And his cousins Natalie and Lucas Watson of Fort Collins, CO. And we cannot forget Aurora, our Huskey/Shepherd mix that picked Ethan to be her owner. Ethan is preceded in death by maternal grandmother: Christine “Da” Watson of Loveland, CO and paternal grandparents: William Pearson (Sacramento, CA) and Margaret “Diana” Pearson (London, England). In his youth, Ethan was active in many things, including 4-H, Robotics, Cub/Boy Scouts and Football in Loveland, CO. He continued his Scouting after moving to Aurora, CO with Troop 630 and Venture Crew 563. He achieved Life Scout rank and had worked towards his Eagle Scout before aging out. He was a true Scout. Always being prepared, and wanting to help others. He was also a member of the High Plains Drifters shooting team out of Watkins, CO. He truly loved his shooting sports, his teammates/coaches/leaders and their families. These were some of his happiest moments in his young life. Some of the hobbies that Ethan enjoyed included: online gaming (even gaming with his mom), researching obscure topics, collecting anime characters, making figures with his 3-D printer, building complex mechanical models, shooting sports, camping and fishing with his dad. Ethan graduated from both Vista Peak High School and Pickens Technical College (Aurora, CO) the Spring of 2020 with his High School Diploma and a Welding certificate. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he worked as a mission essential worker for Wagner, Caterpillar in Aurora, CO. He was currently employed as an aviation mechanic for Menzies Aviation out of Denver International Airport. He loved his new job and his teammates. Ethan always had a thirst for knowledge and to comprehend the most complex ideas. He always took advantage of any learning opportunities. Even in his passing, he was looking forward to what he may experience and learn. In the words of an anonymous 4chan meme, “We are the middle children of history. Born too late to explore earth, born too early to explore space.” Ethan felt that he was born for the stars and to explore them. His love of computer gaming allowed him to experience a taste of this. To explore other places and times. We’ve come to learn that he had some TRULY amazing gaming friends that were so much a part of his life and that gave him much joy and some happiness. Ethan felt dwarfed by the universe, lost and without purpose. In the infinity of space, he wondered “Why are we here?” With Ethan’s big size, and matching big heart, Ethan himself never really fully realized the impact he made on people’s lives. Everyone Ethan has ever touched, only had love and caring thoughts for him. They know that he did care and he did make the world a better place and did have an impact on their and people’s lives. The Pearson family wants to acknowledge your grief as well with the loss of Ethan. In lieu of flowers, you can donate to help the people of Ukraine. Ethan would have liked that. And the most important thing that we can ask for in the memory of Ethan, is that if you or your child feel lost, don’t think you are alone. Please don’t hide it, think that it’s nothing, or that you can deal with it by yourself. Seek help. Even if YOU think you don’t need it. Be TRUTHFUL to yourself, let someone know how you feel. And finally, hug your child/parent now and let them know you love them, because you may not get this opportunity again. Life is short and precious.
