Eva Dolores (Shurtleff) Holschuh, age 91, of Rush, Colorado passed from this life into eternity on December 30, 2025. Dolores was born March 4, 1934, in Yuma, Colorado. She married the love of her life, Charles Everett Holschuh on April 5, 1954 in Denver, Colorado. Eva was known as Sister by her extended family and as Dolores to others. She was a strong willed, funny, loving woman who loved her family and enjoyed cooking, the outdoors, and traveling. Eva was preceded in death by her parents, Russell Leroy Shurtleff and Ella Marie (Campbell) Shurtleff, her husband, Charles Everett Holschuh, her son Michael Dean Holschuh and daughter-in-law, Tammy, her brothers, Ronald, Roland, Eldon, Kenneth “Sunny”, and Terry Shurtleff, her sisters Marilyn Coffey and Sharon Clifton. She is survived by her sons Melvin “Gene” (Pam) Holschuh of Elbert, CO and Gary Holschuh of Rush, CO, her brothers Verle Shurtleff (Nancy) of Idaho Falls, ID and Royce Shurtleff (Sherry) of Aurora, CO, her grandchildren Lisa (Holschuh) Sagaser (Don), Billy Holschuh, Jesse (Melissa) Holschuh, Mikey (Kiley) Holschuh, Jake (Emily) Holschuh, Jeremy (Megan) Holschuh, Victoria (Holschuh) Villabos (Miguel), Colten (Jenni) Holschuh, Josh Holschuh, and 17 great-grandchildren. Eva was a special woman who was loved by all who knew her. A special visitation for family is scheduled for January 8, 2025.
