Frank E. Carpenter of Calhan, Colorado passed away peacefully at home on his birthday April 6, 2019. He was 91 years old.
Frank was born April 6, 1928 in Fort Collins, Colorado to Frank and Edna (Christiansen). He married Pat Pratt on June 2, 1990 in Westminster Colorado.
Frank served in the United States Marines from 1945-1948. He loved all aspect of Aviation. From May-June 1979 he was a student in Aviation Maintenance. He Graduated with FAA certificate for Airframe and Powerplant for all aircraft. He also received FAA certificates for Inspection Authorization and Designated Mechanic Examiner. From September 1980-April 1994 he worked for Turbo West Incorporated as an A&P mechanic, service writer, supervisor, 2nd shift; Pratt &Whitney tech rep, inspection, instrument calibration. From April 1994-April 1999 he worked for Colorado Aero Tech as an Instructor, Designated Mechanic examiner, and Inspection Authorization. From April 1999-May 2004; Accident Investigation Reconstruction, Aviation related investigative research. Build and prepare models for court trials.
In October of 2008 he Retired and moved to Calhan, Colorado. Frank was a member of Living Word Community Church in Calhan, Colorado.
Frank is survived by his wife Pat Carpenter of Calhan, six children, Renee, Margo and Marilou all of Triton New Jersey. Patrick of South Carolina, Penny of Cripple Creek, Colorado, Timothy of Rexburg, Idaho. He is also is survived by one brother, Charles Carpenter of Fort Collins, Colorado.
Frank is preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
Memorial Service will be Saturday April 20, 2019 at 10:00 am at Living Word Community Church, 532 Colorado Ave, Calhan, Colorado.
