Guadalupe Ledesma

Longtime Burlington, Colorado resident Guadalupe P. Ledesma passed away on Friday, September 30, 2005 at the Presbyterian St. Luke’s Hospital in Denver, Colorado. She was 62 years old. Lupe was born on August 23, 1943 in Kerns City, Texas to Domingo Sr. and Virginia Perez. She was the oldest of six children. On January 25, 1964, Lupe married Joe John Ledesma in Brownfield, Texas. In 1966, Joe and Lupe moved to Burlington, Colorado. Lupe was employed by several local restaurants. She was a dishwasher, waitress and cook. Preceding Lupe in death are her parents. Lupe is survived by her husband Joe John Ledesma of the home; four daughters, Alicia Van Meter and her husband Bruce, Aurelia Ledesma and her husband Antonio Gutierrez, Josie Miller and her husband Zach, all of Denver, Colorado; and Aurora Sandoval and her husband Raymond of Burlington, Colorado; three sons, Alfred Ledesma and his wife Heidi, Joe John Ledesma, Jr., both of Denver, Colorado and Andrew James Ledesma of Burlington, Colorado. Lupe is also survived by nine grandchildren; Elizabeth and Katherine Van Meter, Andrea Gutierrez, Justin and Raquel Sandoval, Shayla Myrick, Hadley Tug Ledesma, Cayden Ledesma, and Corbin Miller, one expectant grandchild, one step granddaughter Andi Van Meter and one step great granddaughter Chloe Dorn. She is also survived by two brothers Domingo Perez, Jr. and his wife Dora of Kanorado, Kansas and Eliseo Perez and his wife Millie of Gerring, Nebraska; three sisters, Elodia Garcia and her husband Tony of Denver City, Texas, Esther Montoya and her husband Jesus of Goodland, Kansas and Dora Greeson and her husband Gary of Glenpool, Oklahoma. Joe and Lupe also raised nieces, nephews and friends as if they were their own kids. Lupe was very much loved by everyone who was around her, and will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.
