Harold L. Miller

Harold LeRoy Miller, age 87, passed away May 25, 2024 in Cheyenne, WY.

Funeral Services will be at the Kiowa Community Church in Kiowa, CO on June 1, 2024 with interment at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Yuma, CO.

Harold was one of seven children born to William and Clara Miller in Ft. Morgan, CO.

He joined the Army as a heavy equipment operator in December of 1957 and Honorably Discharged in December of 1959.

Harold married the love of his life, Wilma Kipp, on February 23, 1964. To this union children, Gerald, Raynette, Surene and Kip were born.

Harold farmed many years in the Wiggins/Byers area before moving to Kiowa in 1973. He lived in Kiowa until his health forced him to move to Sidney, NE to be closer to his son and his family.

He took a job with Ramsour Construction building bridges for 26 years before going to work for Marco Construction. Where he worked until his retirement. He built bridges and tunnels all over Colorado, Wyoming and New Mexico.

He took great pride in having a nice yard. He and Wilma always had a big garden every summer.

He loved having the family home for the holidays. Everyone that made it home at Thanksgiving always helped put a huge Christmas light display. One that could be seen from space. :)

His final days were spent at the Davis Hospice Center in Cheyenne, WY. His most enjoyed things to eat were French fries, ice cream, Cheetos, orange slices and pie.

Harold is survived by his children Gerald, Kip (Denise), Surene (Faron) and son-in-law John Douglas. Sister Gladys Davis, sisters-in-law Irene Eastin, Mary Balding, Lavina Heidenreich, Brother-in-law Gerald Kipp.

Grandchildren Brandon (Sarah), Starla (Dalton), Ryan, Austin (Paighton), Lori, Michaelynn (Matthew), Ella and Emily.

Great grandchildren: Keslee, Kasen, Willow, Burgundi, Savanah, Colton and Maddox. A host of nieces and nephews.

Preceding Harold in death was his wife of 57 years, Willma, his daughter Raynette, brothers Junior Miller, Robert Miller, Sisters Betty Babcock, Vivian Hergenrader. Sister-in-law Vicki Kipp. Brothers-in-law Alan Kipp, Gene Kipp, Dallas Easton , Richard Heidenreich, Herman Baird, Billy Babcock, and his parents, William and Clara.
