Jacob R. O'Neill

Jacob O’Neill 16, of Bennett Colorado was taken from his family and friends on August 5, 2026.

Jacob was a junior at Bennett High School. Jacob truly cherished his family and friends and was always concerned for them and others. He was genuinely kind, thoughtful and appreciative of everything.

Jacob enjoyed welding and working on cars. He had a gift for welding and working with metal, taking pieces of seemingly ordinary materials and creating something amazing and unique. Jacob loved the challenge of building something out of nothing and could often be found in the shop, tinkering, modifying, fixing, and finding new ways to make things better.

Jacob loved his brothers and enjoyed spending time with them. He loved talking about cars, taking pictures of them, looking at them and cruising in them. He also loved cruising with his brothers and friends, music turned up and his car’s loud exhaust announcing his arrival.

Jacob was the kind of person who would help in whatever way he could. He could be your mechanic, welder, tech support, best friend, or simply the shoulder you needed when life was difficult. Jacob’s willingness to help others and his genuine kindness were among the qualities that make him so special.

Jacob loved sunsets and could often be found on the shore of the lake capturing pictures of them. These moments reflected another side of Jacob; observant, thoughtful, and able to appreciate the simple things around him.

Jacob is survived by his parents, Terrance Patrick Jr., and Dana Carol (Maly) O’Neill, brothers, Alexander, and Luke. His grandparents, Jerry and Carol Maly (Ralidak), and Terrance and Judy O’Neill.

In remembering Jacob, his family hopes he will be remembered not only for what he could build with his hands, but for what he built with his heart—the friendships, memories, and connections that will live on in the ones who loved him.
