Janet Bancroft, longtime Seibert, Colorado resident passed away on Friday, December 17, 2021, at Porter Adventist Hospital in Denver, Colorado, surrounded by her loving family. She was 85 years old. Janet Elizabeth Luebbers Bancroft was born June 14, 1936, in Marienthal, Kansas to John Henry Luebbers and Teresa Marie Werner Luebbers. She was the seventh of eight children born to this union. She started school in Leoti, Kansas, but the family moved to Stratton, Colorado when she was in second grade. She attended grade school at St. Charles Catholic school and graduated from Stratton High School in 1954. She married her longtime sweetheart, Jack Bancroft on December 12, 1954, at the St. Charles Catholic Church in Stratton, Colorado. They were blessed with five children: Terri, Rod, Paula, Alan and Jay. They celebrated 65 years of marriage on December 12, 2019. She was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church, Altar and Rosary, Shiloh Community Club, and HiPlains Booster Club. She was very devoted to community service, and the Community Ambulance benefit was always a priority for her. Janet was a homemaker and farm wife all her life. She was very creative and loved any kind of craft project. We all benefited from her love of quilting over the years as she lovingly created many beautiful quilts for all her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She spent many hours in the kitchen making wonderful meals and baking zucchini bread and cookies for family and friends. Those left to cherish her memories are her children Terri (Greg) Cooper of Seibert, Rod (Ranae) Bancroft of Seibert, Paula (Kirk) Andersen of Limon, Alan Bancroft of Loveland, Jay (Char) Bancroft of Vona: her grandchildren: Ryan Bancroft, Tyson (Casey) Bancroft, Karli (Curtis) Graves, Megan (Phil) Jostes, Naomi Bancroft, Kyle (Autumn) Bancroft, Sean Cooper, Beth (Eric) Cure, Jacob Andersen, Eric Andersen, Emily Cooper and fiancé Leif Larsen, Taylor (Alec) Villanueva, Noah Bancroft, Hunter Bancroft and fiancé Darian Bytnar. Her great grandchildren: Layla, Aubrey and Jack Bancroft, Draden and Kinsey Graves, Kate and John Jostes, Jackson and Archie Bancroft, and Janet Cure. Her sister-in-law Millie Luebbers, and brother Tom (Delores) Luebbers. Also surviving Janet are wonderful nieces and nephews who meant so much to her. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Bancroft. Parents, John and Teresa Luebbers, her grandson Evan Bancroft and granddaughter Kristan Bancroft. Her sisters, Virginia (George) Eder, Mary Ann (Vince) Wimmer, Bernetta (Les) Curvey, brothers, Paul Luebbers, John (Kate) Luebbers, Roch (Mary Lou) Luebbers and sister-in-law, Jo Ann (Bob) Waldron.
