John "Jack" Clair

John “Jack” Wayne Clair, born on September 11, 1944, in Denver, Colorado, to John H. Clair and Georgia E. Taylor, entered into his heavenly home on June 1, 2025.

Jack graduated from Bennett High School in 1965 and continued his education at Northeastern Junior College, earning an associate degree in Liberal Arts in May 1966. He returned to the family farm to carry on the proud Clair farming legacy, all while pursuing various side jobs, including working as a cook at Nickerson Farms. Jack farmed until retirement, but his deep connection to the land kept him rooted on the family property for the rest of his life.

A man of many talents, Jack was known for his love of music and his exceptional creativity. He played the piano with grace and skill, and delighted friends and family with handcrafted gifts made through needlework, plastic canvas, macramé, and more.

Jack’s servant heart was evident in the countless ways he gave back to his community. Baptized at Bennett Presbyterian Church on June 7, 1953, he went on to serve the church faithfully for decades, playing both piano and organ during services.

He also carried on the family tradition of bowling and was a regular fixture at Lucky Strike Lanes, where he bowled several evenings a week and served as league secretary for numerous leagues over the years.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents, John and Georgia Clair, and his brother, Warren Clair. He leaves behind loving family members and friends who will cherish his memory.
