Kathryn Mae Lell Myers

Kathryn Mae Lell Myers, 94, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2025, in Aurora, Colorado. Born on October 15, 1930, in Delta, Colorado, to her parents Adolph and Leona Lell, the family lived on a farm outside Delta including her brother Gordon Lell and sister Lorraine Driscoll. This is where Kathryn’s lifelong love of horses began. Kathryn lived a long, meaningful life rooted in faith, family, creativity, and community. She spent most of her life in Delta and Seibert, Colorado, where her presence touched the lives of many.
Kathryn was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Myers, in January 2001. She is survived by her four children: Nathlia Myers Holtz (Andri Holtz), Rebecca Myers Garfit (Kelly Garfit), David Myers, and Michael Myers (Julie Myers). She was a devoted grandmother to Jeffrey Garfit, Matthew Garfit, Andrew Garfit, Leona Myers, Victoria Clark, Mason Myers, Gavin Myers (Rylie Myers), and Dane Myers (Morgan Myers), and a proud great-grandmother to Margot Myers, Vance Myers and Rowan Yendrey.
A woman of many talents, Kathryn studied art at Mesa College in Grand Junction, Colorado, and used her creative gifts throughout her life. She was a gifted seamstress who made clothing for herself and her children, and her artistic touch could be seen in her lifelong love of crafting.
Kathryn was also known for her warm and generous kitchen. Her cinnamon rolls, fresh homemade bread, and sourdough waffles were legendary among her family and neighbors.
Throughout her life, Kathryn wore many hats: homemaker, mail carrier, and beloved babysitter. She gave generously of her time to the Seibert community, serving as mayor and town council member. She was also active as a 4-H leader, Cub Scout leader, and a loyal booster of local school activities. Her faith was central to her life, and she was a dedicated member of St. Charles Catholic Church in Stratton, Colorado.
A private service will be held in the fall in Delta, Colorado, where Kathryn will be laid to rest in a family plot.
Kathryn will be remembered for her selfless heart, her creativity, and the many lives she touched with her kindness and quiet strength.
