In 1955, the Tangemans moved to Strasburg where Lee attended and graduated from Strasburg High School in 1966. In 1967, Lee was drafted into the Army, completed boot camp at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, and was then stationed at Fort Riley, Kansas. A 2 week fill-in position lead to Lee moving to Colby for 8 years hauling grain for McCain Enterprises before retiring in 2019.
Lee married Karen (Guy) Tangeman on October 24th, 1970 when they eloped to Las Vegas. In May 1986 Latisha Ann was born, and Patrick Lynn was born in March 1988. In October 2013, Lee was promoted to “Papa Lee” when the neighbors had a son, Jaxon Wilbur.
He is survived by his wife, Karen, of 53 years and their two children, Latisha and Patrick. He is also survived by his brother-in-law Bernard Rarick, several nieces and nephews, and his ‘grandson’ Jaxon.
