Bethune, Colorado resident Linda Kay Rediess passed away on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family after a strong and courageous battle with cancer. She was 68 years old.
Linda was born to Norma Jewell (Webb) and Wilford Lawrence Shutte on September 5, 1952 in Neodesha, Kansas. She was the second child of five children born to this union.
Her family went on many camping trips when she was a young child. On one of their camping trips on the Poudre River, Linda and her sister Della fought over a fish because their lines got tangled together and they both thought it was theirs, it ended up being Linda’s fish.
She moved from Neodesha, Kansas to Littleton, Colorado when she was a little girl. They moved from Littleton, Colorado to Stratton, Colorado when she started the fifth grade, graduating from Stratton High School in 1970.
She married Ron Einspahr on February 6, 1971 at the Stratton Lutheran Church in Stratton, Colorado. To this union three children were born; Tammy (1972), Lee (1975) and Timothy (1976). They divorced on September 11, 1980. Linda was a member of the Stratton Lutheran Church.
After her sister Dee’s death in 1989 she moved to Great Falls, Montana. Later on while in Montana she met Ken Guessen while they both worked at National Electronic Warranties. They married on March 10, 2003 in Cor de Lane, Idaho. To this union Ken brought his son Cory Guessen. They lived in Great Falls, Montana until his death in February of 2004. Her sons and grandson went to Great Falls in 2011 and moved her back to Denver, Colorado to be closer to family. She scared her grandson Chad when she feel asleep while driving to Denver.
Some her favorite pastimes were reading, going fishing, watching movies, and sewing. She sewed her children’s clothing when they were little. She enjoyed cooking, spending time with her family and grand pups.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Louise Anne and Dessa, her brother Larry Shutte, her Uncle Marvin Weimer and her husband Ken.
Those left to cherish her memories are children; Tammy (Terry) Huffman of Thornton, Colorado, Lee (Angela) Einspahr of Bethune, Colorado, Timothy Einspahr (Angela Mercado) of Thornton, Colorado, Cory (Chelsea) Guessen, her grandchildren; Chad and Sabrina Huffman of Thornton, Colorado, Tyler Einspahr of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Brandi Einspahr (Arron Arrteaga) of Raleigh, North Carolina, Kylie, Colter, Corbin and Andrew Guessen all of Tribune, Kansas, her sister Della (Sam) Calhoon of Vona, Colorado, her Aunt Ruby Kay Weimer of South Carolina, her uncle Ricky (Pat) Webb of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
