Lucille Marie Sorensen Ansley

Lucille was born south of Karval, Colorado in Adobe Valley on her family farm.  Lucille was the fifth of six children born to Carl and Lela Sorensen on November 9, 1930.

On June 22, 1950, she married David Ansley of Haswell, Colorado.  Where they lived for just 2 days short of 68 years.  To this union 3 girls were born, Debra Lucille, Brenda Lee and Linda Jane.

Lucille passed on June 20, 2018 at the Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Lela Sorensen, four sisters, one brother, David’s parents, William (Bill) and Dora Ansley, and three brother-in-laws.

Surviving her is her husband David, daughters; Debbie Kravig, Brenda and husband Joe Mayo, Linda and husband Mark James, nine grandchildren and spouses, nineteen great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Lucille talked many nights with David about her wishes for her service.  The family has tried their best to fulfill her wishes.  Thank you to all the family and friends who have been a great part of Lucille’s life.  She will be greatly missed.

A funeral service will be held for Lucille on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at the Karval School Gymnasium in Karval, Colorado at 1:00 P.M.  Burial will immediately follow at the Evergreen Cemetery in Hugo, Colorado.
