Margaret " Peggy " E. Bandy

Margaret (Peggy) Emily Bandy of Hugo, CO passed away May 12th, 2025 at her home in Hugo. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many.

Peggy was born in Hugo, CO on November 9, 1940 to Lawrence and Beulah (Olsen) Mohan. Peggy was one of seven children. She grew up living on a farm southwest of Hugo. On March 15, 1958 Peggy married Robert (Bob) Bandy at the Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Hugo, CO. Peggy and Bob spent their life together in Hugo with their two daughters, YaVonne and Tina.

Peggy worked at the Lincoln Community Hospital in Hugo for over 46 years before finally retiring as the Environmental Manager in 2013. She loved working at the hospital and visiting with the residents every day. Peggy enjoyed painting, baking and traveling, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her daughter YaVonne and her numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Peggy was preceded in death by her husband Robert (Bob), daughter Tina, sister Barbara and brother- in- law Henry Willey, brother James and sister- in- law Lorna Mohan, brother’s Duane and Larry Mohan, parents Lawrence and Beulah Mohan, and sister- in- law MaryAnn Mohan.

Left to mourn her passing is her daughter Yavonne and husband David Johnson of Littleton, CO, brother Joseph Mohan of Thornton, CO, sister Coleen and husband Mark Newman of Wasilla, AK. Four grandchildren Nicholas Pratt and wife Christiana Teijaro of Lawrenceville, NJ, Lee Johnson and Courtney Wegner of Littleton, CO, Holly and husband Russell Snyder of Milton, DE, Amber and husband Kyle Berry of Golden, CO. Five great grandchildren, Jackson, Owen, and Ella Snyder, Kolby Berry and Dean Teijaro Pratt, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Peggy will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
