MARVIN STEERMAN OBITUARY
Marvin Eugene Steerman lost his battle with cancer on the morning of October 18th, 2019 at the age of 60. Marvin was born on May 9th, 1959 to Ronald Eugene and LaNelva Jean Steerman in Denver, Colorado. Marvin’s early childhood years were spent in Commerce City until the family moved to a farm in Fort Lupton in 1972. He graduated from Weld Central High School in 1977. During high school, he also attended college classes at Aims Community College in Greeley. Marvin began working at Ball Metal Container right after high school at the age of 18 and worked there for 42 years until his passing.
On September 10th, 1983, Marvin married DaPhenne Dee (Pridgen) Steerman in Broomfield, Colorado. Marvin had many talents and hobbies and was a jack of all trades. Marvin was an exceptional individual who was always willing to help. He would give you the shirt off of his back if you needed it.
He loved classic cars and shopping for classic cars, or any cars for that matter, which drove his wife crazy. He loved making breakfast for everyone unless he was working - in that case it was the infamous “Donut Day”.
Marvin enjoyed spending time with his family attending sporting events, car shows and of course making time for his loyal dog Murphy. He thoroughly enjoyed going on hunting trips, playing horseshoes, or watching American Outlaws, Young Guns, American Outlaws, Young Guns…did we mention American Outlaws? Above all, Marvin gave us all lasting impressions for amazing memories.
Marvin is survived by his wife, Dee Dee (DaPhenne) of Bennett, Colorado: two sons, Gregory Eugene Steerman of Bennett, Colorado, Christopher Lee & Melissa Rae Steerman, US Navy; one daughter, Stephanie Danielle & Kevin Michael Kelly of Las Vegas; Four grandchildren, Macee Jae Steerman, Layton Lee Steerman, London Jaye Kelly, Logan Jack Kelly. Marvin is also survived by his father, Ronald Eugene Steerman of Fort Lupton, Colorado; Two brothers- Daniel Wayne & Melanie Sue Steerman of Kirk, Colorado and Steven Leon & Lori Ann Steerman of Brighton, Colorado. Marvin is preceded in death by his mother, LaNelva Jean Steerman.
