Longtime Deer Trail, Colorado resident Pamela Jean Stoumbaugh passed away peacefully at her home on September 5, 2017 Pam was born on February 9, 1948 in Hugo, Colorado to Harry Edgar and Anna Grace (Hiatt) Lofdahl. She was the seventh of eight children. Pam attended school in Hugo, Colorado. After high school, she enrolled in Powers Modeling School in Denver, Colorado. On September 7, 1968, Pam married Thomas Eugene Stoumbaugh in Hugo, Colorado. They resided in Lakewood, Colorado and shortly thereafter moved to Deer Trail where they would call home until her passing. To this union, three children were born; Thomas Harry, Rachel Kristine and Cody Lee. She wore many hats over the years; horsewoman, farmer, rancher, bartender, cashier, water aerobics instructor, mail carrier and her most treasured roles of daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother and friend. Pam was a go-getter, a spitfire, filled with a passion for life with her loved ones so evident in her beautiful smile and contagious laugh. Not only was she blessed with wonderful siblings, but she was also blessed with several like-minded women she was proud to call her dear friends. Pam was very active in helping with youth activities when her children were growing up and was a devoted fan of her grandchildren, often frequenting the stands at the Deer Trail School. She also loved being “Grandma Pam” to many of her grandchildren’s friends throughout the years. Pam was an active member of the Deer Trail Jockeyettes for 46 years, always so proud to promote the Deer Trail Rodeo and the heritage it represents. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Harry Donald Lofdahl and Patrick Edgar Lofdahl, her sisters Jennie Jo Lindsay and Phyllis Kathryn Hanners and brother-in-law Jerry Dzik. She is survived by her husband Tom, brother Neil (Anne) Lofdahl of Buckeye, Arizona, sisters Mary Ann (Al) Dorsey of Chandler, Arizona and Martha Dzik of St. Paul, Minnesota, brother-in-laws Joe Lindsay of Big Sandy, Montana and Merlin Hanners of Camp Verde, Arizona, sons Thomas of Dillon, Colorado and Cody (Jessica) Stoumbaugh of Deer Trail, daughter Rachel (Kenneth) Morelock of Deer Trail and grandchildren Cole, Madison, Mitchell and Brett Stoumbaugh, and Raine, Skyler and Walker Morelock. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
