Scott Shelby Solomon was born on July 20, 1962, in Denver, CO to Jess and Judy (Scarborough) Solomon. He was one of five brothers and sisters. The family spent his early years living in Wellington and Grover, CO. The family would later relocate to Arriba, CO, where Scott would graduate from High School in 1981. During his early years he discovered his love for music, specifically playing the drums and boy was he was good. He was so gifted that he landed professional gigs as a middle schooler. Scott’s musical talents introduced him to his second family, the Kuntry Kuzins Band, whom he would spend the next twenty years entertaining with. It was during his time with the Kuntry Kuzins that he would meet Linda Weatherly, they married December 13, 1987. On January 10, 1991, Scott and Linda welcomed their only child Shelby Scott Solomon to this world. Scott was a devoted and caring father; Shelby was the center of his universe until he took his last breath. Scott worked closely with his father Jess and his siblings as a gifted carpenter. Carpentry work was a family affair for the Solomons. He spent his adult years bringing people’s vision for their homes to life, which gave him great joy. Scott felt closest to his creator while spending time in the mountains. He would go to the mountains often where he would hunt and fish with family and friends. When Scott was in the mountains, he was able to find inner peace and always returned rejuvenated.
Scott left us on February 20, 2022. He is survived by his son Shelby Solomon, siblings: Faith (Rick) Porter, Dwight (Tonya) Solomon, Amy Solomon and Sherie Solomon Brouwer, his furry friend Max, former wife Linda Weatherly Moreen, and numerous other family and friends.
