Sharon L. Miller

April 17, 1944 — October 1, 2018

Sharon L. Miller passed away October 1, 2018 peacefully in her sleep.  Waiting for her in heaven was her beloved husband Bob Miller who passed away July 4, 2016.

Sharon was born on April 17, 1944 to Albert and Katherine McKieran Engler.  She had one brother and one sister who are both deceased now.

Bob and Sharon were living in Genoa for many years before moving to Lincoln County Care Center in May of 2016 when Uncle Bob could not take care of Aunt Sharon at home anymore due to his health problems.  After Bob passed away, Aunt Sharon missed him very much.  The cemetery became her favorite place.  We put fresh flowers out every time.

She enjoyed reading and was an avid Rockies and Denver Broncos fan.  She enjoyed Rumi Cube, Kings in the Corner, and parlor games.  She loved children and adult visits especially with dogs and puppies.  She took pride in her appearance; nails and hair had to be just so so, with nice outfits and matching earrings.

Watching American Ninja Warrior, Dancing with the Stars, and game shows were her favorites, and she stayed busy.  Aunt Sharon was a member of the Genoa United Methodist Church.

Aunt Sharon is preceded in death by both of her parents and siblings, the love of her life Bob Miller, and also brothers and sisters in law.

Surviving her are her step daughter, Sonya Miller, step son, Lyle Miller and their family, both from Montrose, Colorado.  Also, 2 brothers in law, Ron Miller of Genoa, Colorado, and Dean Kaufman of Flagler, Colorado.  4 Sisters in law, Betty Rusher of Hayward, California, Kathy Kauble of Sidney, Nebraska, Iola Miller of Denver, Colorado, and Pat Bandy and her dog Gizmo of Hugo, Colorado.  Including many nieces and nephews.  We cannot forget her dog Daisy Mae.

Aunt Sharon was always smiling and enjoyed giving people a teasing with a giggle.  Many friends and family will miss her and lover her always.  Fly high Aunt Sharon, I will miss you.  VaLinda (brat).
