Sheri Hanks

Strasburg resident Sheri Hanks, born August 18, 1956, in California, died in Aurora on June 7th, 2026, after about a six-month battle with illness.

Sheri is survived by sons, George and Wesley; daughter, Laura; and her father, George Tolbert, 93.

Preceding her in death was sister, Kim; mother, Gina; grandmothers: Alma Ward and Ruth Bennett; grandfather, Harvey Tolbert, and nephew, Michael Tolbert.

Sheri was a great person, mother and friend that enjoyed life to its fullest. She was a big fan of Star Trek and loved her Coca Cola. She will be greatly missed.

A memorial service was held at Lyons Park in Strasburg June 20.
