In Loving Memory of Troy “Boogie” DelaTorres Jr.
With profound sorrow and endless love, we announce the passing of Troy “Boogie” DelaTorres Jr., who left this world on April 25th, 2026 at 5:33 p.m. at the age of 30, after a courageous battle with stage 4 stomach cancer. Troy, known to so many as “Boogie,” was a devoted husband, a proud and loving father, a cherished son, brother, uncle, and friend—and truly the heart of his family.
His greatest joy in life was being a father. He was the proud dad of his beautiful daughters, Mailanie, and Analayah Jade, and he held close to his heart the anticipation of welcoming his baby girl, Analise Faith, who is due on May 30th—his 31st birthday. He fought with everything he had to stay here to meet her, showing a strength and determination that inspired everyone around him.
Boogie was known for his protective nature and his deep, unconditional love for his family. He was the kind of man who would do anything for the people he loved. Outgoing, funny, bubbly, and full of life, he had a personality that could light up
any room. He was persistent, strong-willed, and sometimes stubborn—but above all, he was one of the bravest and most helpful men anyone could know. He found joy in both the simple and adventurous moments—working on cars, fishing, tattooing, writing music and rapping, cooking for his family, and spending time with the people he loved most.
Whether relaxing at home or out in the city, Boogie made every moment count. There was never a dull moment with him—he always brought laughter, smiles, jokes, and hugs that made everything feel a little better. Boogie was a hard worker who never let life’s obstacles define him. No matter what he faced—loss, hardship, or personal battles—he always found a way to rise above it, stronger than before. He took pride in his work, his style, his cars, and in making sure his family was always taken care of and looking their best. From a young age, Troy dreamed of having a family of his own. In November of 2023, he married the love of his life, Jessica Bucher DelaTorres, and soon after, began building the life he had always wanted. Though life took an unexpected turn with his diagnosis, he faced it with courage, fighting every single day to stay with his
family for as long as possible. Through every doctor’s appointment and hospital stay, he was surrounded by love—his wife, parents, siblings, and family standing beside him. He never fought alone. Despite the emotional and physical battles, Troy remained strong, brave, and full of love, doing everything he could to be there for the people who meant the most to him.
Troy is survived by his loving parents, Sabrina Ann DelaTorres Martinez, Javier Martinez, and Troy DelaTorres; his beloved wife, Jessica Bucher DelaTorres; his daughters, Mailanie, Analayah Jade, and baby Analise Faith; his siblings, Monique Marie DelaTorres, Roxanne Rene DelaTorres, Jasmine Jolene DelaTorres, Javier
Martinez Jr., Erica Cristina Martinez, Daniel DelaTorres, and Danielle DelaTorres; and his cherished nieces and nephews, Janessa, Malachi, Julian, Lorenzo, and Mileena, along with many extended family members and loved ones.
Troy “Boogie” DelaTorres Jr. was one of the strongest men we have ever known. His courage, his love, and his unwavering dedication to his family will never be forgotten.
Though the pain of losing him is immeasurable, his spirit will live on in the lives he touched, in the love he gave, and in the beautiful family he built. Going forward without him will be one of the hardest things we will ever face, but he will always remain our heart, our strength, and our forever love. Troy will always be with his family—through grace, through faith—forever protecting and watching over them. He will forever live in our hearts, no matter where life takes us. We will love you forever and always, Boogie—far beyond what words could ever express. Our hearts will never be the same without you, and the pain of losing you will stay with us, but so will your love, your laughter, and everything you gave to us. You were taken far too soon, with so much life still ahead of you—so many plans, dreams, and moments you deserved to experience. It breaks our hearts knowing you won’t get to watch your daughters grow, meet your baby girl, or live out the life you worked so hard for. Even in your hardest days, you still wanted to be out, driving, listening to music, and just living life—and that’s who you were.
You never stopped wanting to live, and that strength will stay with us forever. There will always be things we wish we could have said, more time we wish we could have had—but we hope you knew just how deeply you were loved. Until we see you again, you will remain in every part of us—in our memories, in our strength, and in the love that will never fade. We love you more than you could have ever known. Forever and always.
