Vicki Sue Wells

Vicki Sue Wells passed away in Arriba, Colorado on June 17, 2026.

She was born in Oberlin, Kansas on June 29, 1959 to John and Louise (Koehn) Wells of Cedar Bluffs, Kansas.

Vicki attended a little one room school house in Cedar Bluffs, until 3rd grade and then transferred to Oberlin Elementary. She graduated from Decatur Community High School in 1977. She had so many fond memories of growing up in the small community we called home.

She continued her education at Emporia State University and studied elementary education. After college she returned to the area to live and work in McCook, Nebraska as a buyer for DeGroff’s and Lots to Love clothing stores. She loved fashion and knew how to help people look their very best!

Sadly we must say goodbye to her here on earth. We know without a doubt she will be waiting for us, with the love of her life…David Lacey at heaven’s door to greet each and every one of us!

She is survived by her step-mother Vel Vassios, sisters Debbie Wells (Mike Dempewolf), Jodi Rarick (Ed), nephews, Markus Parker, Cassidy Rarick (Kya Muraira), Cody Rarick (Heather), great nephew Kilian Rarick, and many other wonderful family members. She will also be deeply missed by her best friend Fran and her Leisure Pines Family.

She will truly be missed!!!

A celebration of life will be held in Vicki’s honor on Sunday, July 5th, 2026, at The First Congregational Church of Arriba at 3:00 pm.
